- Sports Analytics works with several South African rugby clubs and Rugby Europe

Global digital rugby media platform, RugbyPass has acquired data and measurement firm Sports Analytics.
A specialist in rugby data analysis, Sports Analytics is used in the performance sector as it tracks more than 9,500 data points per game. South African rugby union outfit Blue Bulls recently cited the platform as a key factor as they won the elite domestic Currie Cup title for the first time in 15 years.
The analytics firm works with South African based Pro14 side the Cheetahs, as well as Cape Town provincial outfit the Stormers and the Rugby Europe governing body, offering proprietary data capture and visualisation.
Neil Martin, global chief executive of the Sky Sport-owned rugby platform, said: “When we saw the amazing results that come from this kind of deep analysis, it excited us not only for the potential value it can add to high-performance organisations such as Rugby Europe – but it excited us as die-hard rugby fans in general for the value it can bring to the game.”
